Bobbers On Big Creek Race

Palmetto Business Association, The Town Of Williamston, and Envision Williamston, in cooperation with local PBA businesses, are exciting to be sponsoring a fun new event for the summer. Are you ready? It is called “Bobbers on Big Creek Race!”

• Shop any local participating merchant beginning June 15-June 29 and spend at least $10.00 to receive a special Historic Williamston Bobber Sticker. (Limit one sticker per visit) • Bring the bobber stickers to the start line at the Williamson Freedom celebration on June 29, 2019 and enter them with a coordinating bobber into the race down the Big Creek.  • An entry booth will be set up at the Main Street bridge on Big Creek for your special bobber stickers to be numbered with coordinating bobber.  • You must be present to win! • The more participating businesses you shop with, the more stickers you can receive.  • There will be prizes for the top three winners!!!

1. Shop a participating local business June 15- June 29. Spend $10.00 or more and receive a bobber sticker. One bobber sticker per visit. While supplies last.

2. Bring your bobber sticker to the sign in station at the 3:00 on the day of the Freedom Celebration June 29 and check them in with a coordinating bobber to enter the race.

3. The start line will be under the Main Street Bridge and the finish line will be in the Veterans Park.

4. Races will begin at 4:00 PM.

5. In the event multiple bobbers finish at the same time, the bobbers will be placed in a bowl and a winner will be randomly be selected.

6. In case of increment weather, acts of God, or other circumstances, the Presenter reserves the right to reschedule or postpone the race.

7. All numbered bobbers will be provided by the Presenter and shall remain the sole property of the promoter.

8. Prizes awarded to minors will be presented to a parent or legal guardian.

9. By entering this event, the winners consent to promotional use of their names, photos, and likeness without any additional approval or compensation.

10. By entering this race, entrants release the Presenter, sponsors, employees, and anyone associated with aforesaid from any and all liability with respect to prizes and to bodily injury or damage to property on the event site or surrounding areas, whether on not due to negligence of the Presenter, sponsors, and their officers, directors, staff, and other related entities.

11. This event is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and is violated where prohibited by law.

12.The conduct of the race and the determination of race winners will be witnessed by appointed representatives. All decisions and interpretations of the rules and regulations will be made by the Presenter, and judgement is final. If deemed necessary, Presenter has the discretion to modify the rules as needed.

13. Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entries.
